Dock Shelters / Pads
Dock Shelters
Dock shelter form a seal between the building and the vehicle which helps in reducing the heat or cold lost through an open doorway, thereby helping to substantially reduce costs in relation to the heating or cooling of the building. It also provides protection from the elements, namely the wind and rain, reducing the amount of rain entering the internal areas of the loading bay so helping to reduce the risks from people slipping and falling due to wet floors. In addition to protecting your goods in transit, the seal also helps to maintain your optimum working conditions for staff which in turn helps to increase productivity.
Combination shelters
Combination dock shelters provide the combined sealing capabilities of standard dock seals and shelters with the added flexibility of an inflatable head seal, and are particularly suitable for docking systems where the loading bay door is particularly high and or the types of vehicle vary in size.
Foam pad
Foam pad dock seals, are a cost effective solution to sealing the rear of a vehicle to the loading bay and are particularly suitable for docking systems where the fleet of vehicles are similar in size.
Inflatable
Inflatable dock shelters provide maximum sealing capabilities and are particularly suitable for temperature controlled premises, especially as the demands of the temperature chain for chilled and frozen food distributors are very high.
 Dock Shelters
Rigid Dock shelters
Rigid dock shelters are robust shelters and are particularly suitable for docking systems where the fleet of vehicles are of differing widths.
Retractable
Retractable dock shelters are hard wearing and versatile shelters and are particularly suitable for docking systems where the fleet of vehicles are of differing widths. Resizable to different vehicle widths & heights and offer a general purpose seal to cater for most applications.
Dock Pads
Standard dock pads
Standard dock pads are the most cost effective way of sealing the rear of a vehicle to a loading bay. This helps prevent the ingress of the outside elements, and also helps maintain the environment within the building thereby reducing the cost of maintaining the necessary working/storing conditions.
Tail lift dock pads
Tail lift dock pads come with the side pads manufactured in two parts; the bottom section, which can receive extra wear due to the tail lifts, is removable and can be replaced quite easily, thereby reducing the cost of replacement. Either half can be manufactured with less projection where vehicle protrusions may damage pads.
Moving head pads
Moving head pads - the adjustable head can be incorporated where the loading dock is servicing vehicles of variable heights. They are as standard manually operated via a counter balance weight but can be made fully automatic and be incorporated within the loading dock control panel.
